Indoor Signs:
We carve our indoor wood signs on 3/4″ hand selected knotty pine or spruce. Cedar is also available as a special order. Indoor signs are finished with a minwax oil stain and sealed with a satin polyurethane finish.
Outdoor Signs:
Our outdoor signs are carved into 1 1/2″ kiln dried premium tight knot cedar. We finish our outdoor signs with a high quality penetrating exterior oil finish, which is available in either natural or new cedar colour. This finish is is meant to stand up to our worst Canadian weather and is the same finish that is used to preserve log homes.
For our painted outdoor signs we seal them with Minwax outdoor polyurethane.
Lettering:
We paint the carved sign lettering with black acrylic and then it is sealed with finish.
